Delicious Tuning breaks the 200 wheel horsepower mark on a completely stock Subaru BRZ, using only E85 fuel and EcuTeK ProECU RaceROM for custom tuning. You heard correct a completely stock Subaru BRZ (Scion FRS, Toyota 86) with stock headers, stock front pipe, stock over pipe, stock exhaust, stock intake stock engine and even the stock intake filter. The car was run in 5th gear (closest to 1:1 drive ratios) on an AWD DynoJet Dyno. After only a few revisions to our original E85 tune (not 200+) we were able to dial on the 201 whp on an utterly stock vehicle. For more information or to purchase our 200+ whp E85 tune you may find more information about it on our webstore here.
The following we day we added an Airaid Cold Air Intake and added an additional 4 horsepower (on Infamous Performance's Mustang Dyno), doing literally nothing else, then just installing the basic box (not removing the snorkel). We then removed the top of the box (to simulate removing the snorkel) and that added an additional 4 horsepower, which would equate to about 209-210 whp on a dynojet dyno, and still on a fully stock engine and exhaust system.
Update: June 5 2014
- Stock FRS/BRZ with our E85 tune runs a 14.3576 in the quarter mile.
